Your consumer behavior is limited, except when it comes to technology purchases. Apart from your computer equipment, which is necessary for your artistic practice and financial livelihood, you buy as little as possible. You rarely eat out, with the exception of burritos at Cabo Cabana in the mall next door to school, and almost never go out to bars.
You tend to work for pay for several months, and then make art for as long as you can afford to without having to work. Thus each dollar you don't spend translates into a little bit more time you can make art without having to start working again.
