Some of the textual compositions constructed by Ajaykumar as elements for iPak,
were evolved from two installations he has made â labyrinth, and a play
on words - which were commissioned by Mental Health Media for its 2007
touring exhibition, Testimony.
Testimony in part serves to
promote awareness of a major and vital archive, available online and at the
British Library, London, of the oral histories, the testimonies, of
those who have spent much of their lives in mental institutions in the
UK. The aim is to increase understanding and challenge negative attitudes
towards those who use mental health services.
